Namibia, an unexplored African paradise, with so much variety, I’m planning it as a two part offering, a regular safari over the Dussehra Holidays 2013, so you can make it a family trip too. Also a self drive trip in Jan/ Feb 2013 (See dates on Itinerary). I hope there will be lots of you who would like to join me for the self drive and or get onboard a safari of great fascination:
We fly into Windhoek, the capital of Namibia via Johannesburg, arriving by the evening. The next morning we will receive our vehicles and start our adventure into the fascination of petrified forest, tribal cultures, mammoth sand dunes, rock engravings from the San people, desert adapted animals and of course the game reserve teeming with the abundance of animals as only Africa displays. Namibia is the ultimate African experience and to take a big car and drive through it sounded like the best adventure to me.
We stay in a mix of unique accomodations that offer total comfort in way out locations. Other than the driving, which will be our adventure, each place offers us many activities that we can choose to participate in. The Namib Desert, the Namib Naukluft Park, Sossusvlei, Dead Vlei, Dune 45 and Sesriem have become synonymous with Namibia and the coastal belt … the Skeleton Coast. Then add the open plains and rock engravings of Damaraland with one of Africa’s best game reserves, the Etosha National Park to make this even better.
This 12-Day safari itinerary includes all of the above … and more. We are offering it over the October holidays because it fits perfectly. It may be run as a bespoke trip too, if you have your own group and would like different dates. Contact me.
